The Incline is a serious challenge, even for people in good shape. If you're working on getting in great shape doing the incline is an amazing workout that will live up to the saying "no pain no gain".

Weekdays are the least busy, mornings are also a best choice to avoid crowds. There are lots of good suggestions and best practices on the reservation page.
We recommend a two night stay ~
Day 1 - Arrive and check-in any time after 3:00 PM. Have a great dinner, and get get ready for the incline the next day. Get a good nights sleep.
Day 2 - Give your self at least a half hour to drive and get a place to park. Using the shuttle service is worthwhile if your climb is on a weekend. A great reason to stay at Mystic Portal is access to our hot tubs!
